    Bond and Specialty Insurance (B&SI) is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Management Liability Centralized Actuarial Pricing Team. This team supports actuarial data, tools, processes, and pricing projects than span multiple lines of business and business units. B&SI is in the process of modernizing our rate plans, product delivery, and strategic technology platform, and this is an excellent opportunity to be part of this transformative phase. eCommerce capabilities and expansion of our products across the enterprise accentuates the need to partner with our technology, BI&A, and compliance partners to ensure actuarial algorithms meet specifications and data needs for the actuarial team are met.

    This position’s primary responsibility is partnering with Technology, Compliance, and the Actuarial Pricing Team to ensure renewal rate change and stabilization algorithms are programmed according to specifications via testing and the flow of rating data is optimal. This includes the rollout of several new coverages into the current platform, analysis of disruption mitigation options, and evaluation of testing efforts for a new strategic platform. In addition, this position will partner with our BI&A group to create specifications and ensure that actuarial data from our submissions is properly stored within data marts. Finally, there are opportunities to advance the build of new strategic actuarial tools being utilized to granularly monitor and assess production and rate plans. Actuarial credentials are not required for candidates with relevant experience.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • College degree in STEM related field.
    • Associate Actuarial Credential preferred but not required.
    • Strong PC skills (MS Office) and programming skills (eg. SQL, SAS).
    • 4+ years of quantitative analysis experience preferred.
    • Strong understanding of insurance products and industry.
    • Demonstrated ability in actuarial and quantitative analysis and statistical concepts.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage projects.
