    A competent biomedical technician skilled in the diagnosis and repair of simple and complex medical devices. The Lead BMET also possesses a strong knowledge of the operation of a biomedical branch and the people skills necessary to act as local supervisor of the staff. As a competent technical resource, he/she will be expected to mentor BMET’s and PM techs to improve the competency and value of our technicians. The Lead BMET will be expected schedule and direct the overall resources of the branch to maintain an efficient and effective operation.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Will monitor inventory levels to optimize parts utilization and minimize repair turnaround time
    • Will perform PM’s as needed
    • Will conduct assignments from the Biomedical Manager
    • Will work with and enter professional health care settings as part of their role, including but not limited to sales professional, delivery professionals and implementation team.
    • Will stay current with new products and new technologies in the biomedical industry
    • Will provide support and services for a customer, client, manufacturer or other business partner that require candidate’s to be fully vaccinated.
    • Will monitor the facility to provide a safe and secure workplace for McKesson employees
    • Will act as liaison to our customers to resolve issues and technical problems
    • Will perform repairs on a wide variety of biomedical equipment
    • Will identify training needs for the branch
    • Will act as liaison for the designated Biomedical Manager of the branch
    • Ability to operate and drive McKesson Fleet Van for customer pick up’s and deliveries.
    • Will act as main contact for local services, contractors, and McKesson Field Service Techs
    • Will assure that service area is clean and orderly
    • Will teach and mentor BMET 1 and PM personnel to improve their technical ability
    • Will assure accurate database entry and reports by self and staff
    • Will support any internal or external audits or inspections
    • Will schedule work assignments and monitor employee attendance and performance.
    • Will provide input to the Biomedical Manager for annual employee performance reviews
    • Will participate in department on call rotation, if required

    Job Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Good decision-making capabilities
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Strong work ethic and focus on quality work
    • Excellent knowledge base of diagnosis and repair of medical equipment
    • An Associate Degree in an electronic field, preferably biomedical, or a combination of education and experience.
    • Computer literate with a strong understanding of OneTrack, P21, and Microsoft Office.
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Understanding of labor laws and corporate policies
    • Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel
    • Understanding of and ability to operate specialized test equipment used on medical equipment
    • Working knowledge of electronics, electricity, electro-mechanical, fluidics, pneumatics and hydraulic theories and practices
    • Strong attention to detail, ability to maintain focus with intermittent distractions
