Job Description:

We create products and distributed systems that serve Prime member at scale (over 200 million members) across the world. We build and own set of distributed services, systems (cohesive services working together) and Prime members experiences. These systems, services, and experiences uses AWS technology, Machine learning, Data analysis and some exciting engineering that goes behind the scene. In some cases, we help other non-prime teams to use our software (w/ software as service).

Job Responsibilities:

Be the interface between the product owners and the development team, thoroughly understanding the product, helping define user stories, and driving the evaluation of appropriate technical solutions to meet the business requirements.
Engage with many other teams in the company, evangelizing the team and your project, building relationships and helping identify existing components and technologies that can be leveraged to deliver on our goals
Help make the right feature trade-offs to ship software without compromising customer experience and business relevance
Own engagement with the partners, work to decompose requirements into technical execution plans with multiple development teams, track progress towards goals, and report status to product, business development, and technical leadership.
Own the systems responsible for world-wide Prime membership eligibility and every Prime sign-up.
Represent the technical team to senior leadership across the company

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

Create and execute appropriate project tasks and processes for development activities in concert with business and project management efforts.
Ability to drive consensus within a team and influence outcomes in significant technical decision-making.
Experience building highly available systems and operating 24×7 services
Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
Review appropriate quality plans, test strategies and interact with QA for testing activities.
Experience developing cloud software services and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability.
