    As a System Design Discipline Intern within the System Design and Architecture Directorate, you will interface with the customer to develop CONOPS, system architecture, system requirements and manage qualification, verification and validation. You will also perform functional / physical analysis, allocation, and trade studies. You will support engineering testing, integration and flight-testing, production, system deployment, and post deployment support across the product lifecycle.  Through Digital Transformation (DTx) you will perform these functions using a variety of methods and enabling technologies, including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Agile product development.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Must be a Junior, Senior, or Post-Graduate standing by Summer 2023
    • Pursuing a BS or MS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
    • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

    Job Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Specific majors: Systems Engineering or related scientific or STEM discipline
    • 3.00 cumulative GPA required.
    • Experience or coursework in System Design
    • Matlab and/or C++ experience Modeling and Simulation experience
    • Ability to analyze issues and define solutions
    • Strong communication skills including effective written, verbal, and listening skills  Self-starter with the ability to independently pursue information and solve problems
    • Proven strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities
    • Basic Engineering skills and interest in how systems are developed and function
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment   Ability to problem solve and seek out additional resources
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
    • Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution style
