Healthcare Internships Summer 2023 – Supplier Operations and Supply Chain Coordinator In Jeffersonville

Job Description:

We are seeking someone to help coordinate all supply chain activities with our top manufacturers and McKesson. The goal of this role will be to increase supplier and customer fill rates, minimize and triage backorders, and streamline operational activities between suppliers and McKesson. This person will also be responsible for supply chain metrics for top 50 Medical Surgical Suppliers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor and review items at risk for supply constraints and provide allocation recommendations to Category Management & Materials management
• Work with Category Managers and Materials Management to lead and manage major market shortages
• Help Manage restrictions related to inventory situation (ex recalls)
• Analyze and determine items at risk of growing backorders due to low inventory, aging purchase orders, supplier challenges, demand, or potential inventory forecasting issues
• Triage supplier challenges (ex: factory shut downs, new ERP systems, regional disruptions, etc)
• Provide weekly reporting to Category Management to highlight at risk sku’s
• Provide content for the field through various channels (PC/EC Voice, SFDC, PC/EC Calls, etc.)
• Work as liaison between MMS, Supplier, and operations teams
• Further develop our supply chain penalty programs and how to best implement with large suppliers
• Identify cost savings (Delivered Profit) opportunities with key mfrs
• Identify supply chain efficiency or gain share programs with suppliers
• Develop action plan with key suppliers on operational efficiencies
• Help coordinate any recall activities between McKesson and suppliers as well as help develop communications to the field
• Understand and track allocations from Manufacturers to McKesson and work closely with suppliers to provide “get well timing”
• Influence vendors to proactively provide us with market shortage information on their products
• Meet regularly with operational leads at key suppliers to understand supply chain risks, opportunities, and areas for further investigation

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

• Ability to set strategy but also understand details to drive successful solutions
• 4 year degree (MBA preferred)
• 7 years of experience
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Current/Prior experience in Project Management, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Category
