    Job Description:

    This position is for a Cell Development Engineer in the Battery Cell Research department within the Ford Ion Park division of Ford Motor Company. Battery technology is recognized as the linchpin in Ford’s pivotal initiative to Lead the Electrification Revolution. Ford Ion Park is responsible for the delivery of innovative advanced battery cell technology to meet this objective.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate across cross-functional teams
    • Lead or support root-cause analysis for warranty calls related to DTC issues
    • Hands-on troubleshooting for Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) and/or configuration issues
    • Support, coordinate, lead root-case analysis with internal functions and suppliers to ensure system achieves feature requirements
    • Support diagnostic architecture development for next generation ADAS systems
    • Support new and unique issues from HiL, bread board, VoCF, plant, etc.
    • Create and validate diagnostic specifications for new features and software releases to support the engineering, manufacturing and service teams

    Job Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry or related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience
    • 1+ years of experience in the following battery categories: solid state electrolytes, sulfide solid electrolytes, advanced cathodes/anodes, pilot line design and assembly
    • 3+ years of experience in development of advanced battery cell technologies (graduate studies can be considered)
