    Job Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop embedded Diagnostic middleware in C++ for the next generation DAT ECU platform
    • Collaborate with Research Teams, DAT feature owners, algorithm and function owners, and software architects to design, develop, and deliver Diagnostic functions
    • Provide guidance to verification and tooling teams on methods to enhance middleware debugging and testing
    • Collaborate with hardware and software teams (Ford and Supplier) in developing the embedded middleware for the next generation DAT ECU
    • Follow established Agile development methods within the Diagnostics scrum team
    • Provide guidance to suppliers on architecture and design choices (including but not limited to classic AUTOSAR), ensuring that decisions consider proper functional behavior as a collective DAT system

    Job Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
    • Strong understanding of diagnostics architectures within the in-vehicle automotive domain (utilization of DID’s, DTC’s, etc.)
    • Familiarity with security and safety in remotely performing Diagnostics on a consumer vehicle
    • 5+ years of experience working on a automotive or consumer product at all phases of development (pre-production through launch)
    • Experience with diagnostic protocols ISO 14229-1 and ISO 13400-2
    • Familiarity with Autosar Adaptive Diagnostic stack (DM, DoIP)
    • Familiarity with Classic and Adaptive AUTOSAR stacks in support of Diagnostics capabilities
    • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
    • Strong understanding of Diagnostic designs and best practices as an architect, leader, or developer
    • Experience with Autosar Classic development tool chain (CANDella, DaVinci Configurator/Developer, CANoe, vVirtualTarget)
    • Experience with Autosar Classic Diagnostic stack (DEM, DCM, NVM, DoIP,
    • Expert user of software development and productivity tools (e.g., GIT, JIRA, Confluence, Polarian, QNX Momentics)
    • Team oriented, with demonstrated ability to work well in cross functional groups to deliver a highly technical product
    • 5+ years of experience with Agile software development processes
      PDUR)
    • Strong understanding of embedded middleware architectures and software stacks
    • 5+ years of experience with Linux and/or QNX operating systems
