Job Description:

TRC Digital, a business unit within TRC, delivers information technologies (IT) and operation technologies (OT) expertise and solutions to best address our client needs and has a proven track record supporting utilities in the deployment of complex operational technologies. We have broad capabilities for IT/OT project delivery while being highly specialized to meet the needs of each individual client. We are the trusted advisor and implementation partner for electric and gas utilities undergoing digital transformation and can offer deep experience across utility OT systems.

Job Responsibilities:

Pursuing a degree in the fields of Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Power Systems, Systems Engineering or related fields (preferably a current Junior or Senior)
Knowledge of computer programming (Java, C#, etc) or scripting languages like python are a plus
Self-motivated and detail-orientated
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Excellent organization, interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong commitment to providing superior customer service.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Job Requirements/Qualifications:</h

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of project managers and other technical experts on the Digital team.
As a Digital intern, we will do our best to get you engaged in real world projects that we are delivering. These projects may entail some of the following types of work:
Participate in customer meetings and workshops
Perform research on industry trends in technology, standards and integrations
Participate in project team meetings
Participate in the solution design and documentation process
Perform configuration work to implement the project design
Perform solution and system testing work, including investigating issues and performing root causes analyses
Participate in partner solution training or product roadmaps
Support the development team in building adapters and integrations
Develop prototypes or proofs-of-concept to evaluate design options or solutions
Provide a weekly summary of your work and what you are planning to work on the following week
Participate in team meetings and meetings with your mentor
Help us document, streamline or automate internal processes
Identify ways to lead with technology! As the Digital team we are always looking for ways to leverage new technology in our delivery processes, so you may help us research new software or solutions to advance our services
