    The Quality Engineer โ€“ Senior Analyst is responsible for participating in the development processes necessary to facilitate test execution and management. The team member will work closely with Application Developers and other scrum team members to deliver the highest quality automation products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Specific duties and responsibilities include creating, maintaining and executing test plans and test cases against our hardware and software platforms, estimating test efforts, analyzing and communicating test results, defect tracking, and participating in day-to-day testing activities. Qualified candidates will also contribute to non-functional requirement test efforts, which can include writing specialized testing tools for use in performance and scalability testing.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Delivering automation in the areas of test case development and execution
    • Creating, maintaining and executing test plans and test cases to support delivery of product code
    • Utilizing automation tools to identify bottlenecks and thresholds in existing code
    • Identifying opportunities for code quality improvement
    • Recognizing needs for improvement in existing automation frameworks and processes
    • Developing subject matter expertise and building knowledge of supported assets
    • Analyzing and communicating test results
    • Performing defect tracking and triage
    • Continuously expanding Scaled Agile knowledge to effectively integrate best practices into delivery activities
    • Supporting team Agile efforts by owning and delivering on user stories, features and epics
    • Providing support across teams to collaboratively achieve goals
    • Communicating obstacles, issues and risks effectively in order to identify practical solutions
    • Evaluating test cases for inclusion in regression, automation for newly integrated features, and development of toolsets to augment QE and Development testing
    • Completing work governed by best practices, standards and processes in support of the System Team with a specific focus on quality improvement in the areas of test management and execution

    Job Requirements/Qualifications:

    • 1-3 years of experience developing in scripting languages such as Python, Perl or JavaScript
    • Cursory experience with and understanding of software development, with discernment of testing methods, such as unit testing, functional testing, and stress test performance testing
    • Demonstrated skill in using coding standards and being an active participant in code development and reviews
    • Understanding of testing and development techniques
    • Excellent problem solving skills to root cause technical issues
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
