    The Rotating Equipment Reliability Analyst is integral to the creation, implementation, and sustainment of rotating equipment reliability improvement efforts across the refinery.  This Analyst will be responsible for tracking performance and reliability metrics, troubleshooting complex machinery issues, and issuing work instructions for rotating equipment maintenance crews and rotating equipment repair shops.  In addition to reliability improvements, this Analyst will also support development of rotating equipment competencies in maintenance and operations personnel.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Provide first-line troubleshooting support of identified machinery issues
    • Provide work direction and oversight for repairs of machinery, including centrifugal pumps, steam turbines, fin-fans, reciprocating and centrifugal compressors, and blowers.
    • Implement long-term reliability improvements on equipment to increase Mean Time Between Repair (MTBR)
    • Track overall mechanical health of major machines in the refinery
    • Facilitate and/or participate in root cause investigations on machinery failures and provide recommendations for long term solutions to the root causes
    • Review and approve repair shop scope against API and company specifications for machinery overhauls and oversee necessary customer witness points
    • Provide technical recommendations and reviews to Operating procedures, checklists, and job-aids
    • Lead the development/revision of rotating equipment specific training for Operations
    • Prepare basic inputs for economic analysis of proposed upgrades or improvements
    • Provide owner/user technical guidance to major projects

    Job Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Minimum 5-years experience as millwright, mechanic, or machinist in an operating facility or repair services shop
    • Minimum 8-years direct experience with rotating equipment
    • Working knowledge of industry specific (API) repair standards and practices
    • Proficient in use of Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint)
    • Able to perform field work including climbing of stairs and ladders
    • Possess valid driver’s license
