Job Responsibilities:

Work on ad hoc initiatives as needed.
Lead and grow two team members by setting service strategy, developing work relationships and research knowledge base and supporting them with the research project cycle and key client correspondences.
Architect and execute thought leadership studies to proactively drive top-down marketing and positioning of BuzzFeed, Inc’s latest ad products and 1st party data strategy.
Manage all parts of the research project cycle: design research questionnaires; support, document and manage client based projects; collaborate with internal operations on the implementation and management of research programs, including quality assurance; interpret data, write reports, and make actionable recommendations; present findings to account teams and potentially to clients. Focus on growing international business.
Direct department budget and research investments to make sure we have the best in-market capabilities that showcase our brand advantages, while being strategic with spend.
Work cross-department to match appropriate research with clients, understand the best way to showcase results and distribute knowledge, and develop expertise across client verticals and how that insight ties back to the business. This includes handling client-facing interactions that involve deep education sessions and recaps.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

Knowledge of digital products, and cross-platform media.
Ability to organize workflow and to follow through on multiple tasks.
Business acumen in identifying analytics opportunities and scaling services.
Optional – expertise of 3rd party research databases, tools and applications, including (but not limited to) comScore, Nielsen, Google Analytics, Quantcast, Tubular, Global Web Index, Mintel, and Canvs.
High level of project planning, development and implementation.
Working knowledge of Google Workspace products (Gmail, Sheets, Slides, Docs)
Demonstrated expertise with data strategy & partnerships including scaling services for client data ingestion, data sharing, data passback, bilateral data transfer, and clean room implementation. Prior experience working with Google Ad Manager, Permutive, LiveRamp, BlueKai, InfoSum, Habu, SafeHaven, Snowflake, etc.
Demonstrated expertise with 1st party data manipulation, including familiarity with DMPs, SQL querying, and visualization software (Google Data Studio, Tableau, etc.)
10+ years of integrated marketing, Agency, Media and/or Ad Sales is highly preferred.
Successful history in leading analytics teams.
Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communications with overarching skill to translate data, information and research into powerful points of view—ability to craft and tell a compelling story.
Proven ability to build strong relationships and work across multiple departments.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business or equivalent work experience.
