    Open source software is at the heart of Apple platforms and developer tools. We in the Open Source Program Office (OSPO) partner with developers and leadership to drive strategy and implementation around use, contributions, and adoption of open source software. Together, we streamline the process for upstream contributions, gather and report metrics, educate teams, and build community engagement.     Job Responsibilities:

    • Provide clear, timely and objective communication, including regular program status updates and critical issues as needed to executive team
    • Partner with multiple Engineering leads to drive cross functional programs through delivery; inclusive of timelines, planning, requirements, and dependencies.
    • Manage risks, mitigations, and drive alignment across the organization and between teams
    • Coordinate discussions and break down complex issues into discussion topics to drive engineering and design alignment with support from project team, maintaining an orientation toward teamwork and collaboration
    • Proactively identify issues and solutions, and mobilize resources necessary to address and resolve. Coordinate with teams to identify issues, prioritize tasks and track risks to schedule and product quality, including multi-functional dependencies

    Job Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Strong track record of contributing to and engaging with an open source project, community, or foundation.
    • Fluency in the security considerations of software development, infrastructure, cloud services, and governance
    • Ability to provide recommendations, solutions, and apply them to common open source security problems
    • Experience performing code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and optimizing code for potential contributions.
    • Experience evolving systems and processes to produce higher security assurance in open source software
    • Experience in dependency management and open source vulnerability remediation.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to cultivate strong partnerships, both internally and in open source communities.
